The San Tan Charter School Cheer team is a great way to show your school spirit and be an integral part of the Roadrunners family.
Not only does the Cheer team help get the fans excited and cheering at school events, the team competes in competitive cheer competitions themselves during the year.
I am originally from Kansas City, MO where I graduated from Center Senior High in 2003. I had the privilege of cheering for two years on the Varsity Squad at Center High, as well as, take part in many different organizations including basketball and newspaper. After high school, I attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas where I lead a praise dance team, engaged in over 800 hours of community service, and became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. From KSU, I received my Masters in Regional Community Planning in 2009 and moved to Texas where I served as the praise dance leader for seven years at Friendship Baptist Church. In 2013, I received my calling to ministry and completed my second Masters in Christian Ministries and Pastoral Counseling. I served as a chaplain for three years in Fort Worth, TX before moving with my family to Arizona. Throughout the years, I have worked closely with youth in the community and have continued to do so. I am excited to partner with everyone this season to make this an enjoyable and fun experience. Thank you for allowing me to work with your student as we lead our teams into victory this year.
The Junior High Cheer team is a great way to get started, learn San Tan cheers and attend sporting events.
The High School Cheer team travels with our varsity sports teams, performs at half time for home games and when it comes to competitions, San Tan is one of the best in the state, winning the Cheer State Title in 2017.
