Jimmy Ray
Head Coach
Coach Ray was born in California and grew up in Apache Junction, Arizona. Coach Ray earned his Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and his Masters of Education Curriculum and Instruction and Administration from Northern Arizona University. He is entering his 23rd year of teaching math and athletics.
Coach Ray’s academic and athletic career has included Apache Junction and Williams Field High Schools, the Mesa Community College District, and Arizona State University. Coach Ray brings to San Tan an extensive background in coaching football, track, girls basketball, and club softball.
Our Junior High Softball program is open to all 5th-8th Graders, no experience necessary. Our coaches work with each girl at their level and develop each athlete from there. Our Junior High team focuses on building the fundamentals needed for the sport while fostering a love of softball and a family comradery for the team.
