Football

Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the San Tan Charter School football program won its first state title in its first year of varsity football. While 2017 wasn’t the first year STCS had fielded a football team, to win a state title in its first year of varsity eight-man football is quite an accomplishment.

Our football team continues to work every day to become a championship level football team. The players work every day to become the student-athlete we want our young men to be and the men of character we want them to become.

With excellence expected in the classroom, on the football field, in the weight room, around campus, and in the Gilbert community, San Tan Charter School Football is building a championship level program with elite Division I level players.

San Tan Charter School has seen a great deal of success over the past few years with regards to both tackle and flag football. We continue to be proud of all the opportunities that our boys have been given with regards to all state teams and college scholarships. During the 2017-2018 Fall Season our 8-Man Varsity Tackle team had 6 members who were named All State. In the 2018 – 2019 school year, our Varsity Tackle Football team expanded from an 8-man team to an 11-man team. In addition, we inaugurate our Power campus and new football stadium. Our team ended the 2018-2019 season with one player making the All State list. The 2019-2020 school year was an exciting year for our Varsity team! Led by Coach Stephen Walker and his coaching staff, our Varsity 11 Man Tackle team won the State Championship and had 4 players named All State. It’s an exciting time to be a Roadrunner!
